Smith Towing & Recovery is a family-owned towing company in Crosby, Texas. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use this website, how we use it, and what we never do with it. We keep it simple because our business is simple: you ask for help, we send a truck.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:

• Service requests (the request-service and contact forms): your name, phone number, the pickup location, and — if you provide them — a drop-off location, vehicle details, email address, and whatever you type in the message.
• Job applications (the careers form): your name and contact details, the work-eligibility answers on the form, and any résumé file you upload.
• Basic technical data: like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) records your IP address with each request. We use it only to block spam and abuse — nothing else, and it is not shown to us in a way we act on individually.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

Your service-request information is used for exactly one thing: to call you back and get you help. When you submit a form, the details are emailed to our dispatch inbox through our email provider (Resend) so a real person can respond. Job-application information is used only to evaluate you for a position. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Analytics & cookies

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit the site — a cookieless pixel (Metricool) and Cloudflare's edge analytics. Neither sets advertising cookies or identifies you personally, which is why you won't see a cookie-consent banner: there's nothing invasive to consent to.

Who we share it with

The only third parties involved are the trusted providers that run this site and its forms — Cloudflare (hosting and spam protection) and Resend (delivering the form email to us). They process the data only to provide those services. We never sell or rent your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Form submissions live in our email inbox and business records for as long as we need them to serve you and keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete the information you sent us at any time (see below).

Your choices

You're always in control of what you send us — every optional field is optional. You can ask us to send you a copy of, or delete, the information you submitted. Just call or email us using the details below and tell us what you'd like.

Security

This site is served entirely over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and every form is protected by a bot-and-spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) before it can be submitted.

Children

This site is meant for people arranging towing and recovery services and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
